Nestled in the heart of Hartford County, surrounded by picturesque countryside, lays Vignon Manor Farm. This family-owned and operated property sits on 160 acres of rolling Maryland hills, but the sprawling farmland isn’t the only gorgeous feature of this event and wedding venue.
The owners, Ashley and Bill, have lovingly crafted a wedding experience with so many amenities that it’s hard to beat.
If you’re after an outdoor wedding, which, let’s be honest, Maryland has some stunning backdrops for getting married outside, Vignon offers a large paved patio for a reception with a view or a swanky celebration under the stars. You can get married on a hilltop, roll down to your party, and dance under the bistro lights.
But if you want a little more weather reliability, the indoor event center is a gorgeous space. There’s a massive and modern barn interior for ceremonies and receptions alike, with chandeliers and walls of beautiful glass windows.
I’m pretty sure all of the above is what made my bride and groom fall in love with the space for their July wedding, and it was a good thing too since we were up against some big summer thunderstorms that evening.
Liz and Joe were so much fun on their wedding day, wandering around the beautiful grounds even in the mid-summer heat.
The wedding party started off in the Manor House, which is the most thoughtfully designed suite full of floor-length mirrors, natural lighting, and plenty of bar space for a pre-wedding champagne toast.
After the sweetest first look and a traditional Ketubah signing, I got to capture the moment that Liz and Joe took that first step as a married couple, and experience the joy bursting out of the barn as their friends and family clapped them down the aisle.
With classic white and green florals, beautiful sage bridesmaids’ dresses, and dashing gray for the groomsmen, the whole day was as classy as can be.
The reception space was so bright and airy thanks to the walls of windows, and the light beautifully played off the green glass, taper candles, and draped tulle of their tablescapes.
You’ll see in the photos that Liz and Joe had a neon sign next to their wedding cake that said ‘Better Together’. As we took end-of-the-night photos under some epic rainclouds, that phrase stuck out in my mind, and I can’t think of a better way to describe them.
